The magnetic latch adds ease and usability to the traditional harness design that I couldn’t appreciate until I was using it myself. You no longer have to look down and behind their arm to make sure prongs are properly aligned for the buckle because the magnet on the Atlas harness only needs you to place it close enough for the latch to set itself into place. An appropriate analogy may be how the iPhone revolutionized touch screens—they had long existed but we didn’t adopt them widely until Apple showed how smoothly and accurately they could operate.
