Great quality and perfect length. Also helped with pulling when used with the chest harness.

We have an 8 month old chewer. She has done damage to every leash we have had within a few days of using it. She tried to do the same with this one, including the clamps, but so far it doesn't even look touched. I would buy this again but am looking forward to the warranty if it is ever needed.

So I received my dog's Lifetime Leash a couple of weeks ago and have used it exclusively since then to get a good feel for it. Its overall a good investment considering the quality and the warranty (which I've not had to use) despite its higher price point.
With my highly-mouthy German Shepherd puppy, we were going through leashes quickly, so the warranty and promises of sturdy construction had me onboard.
Here are my initial observations --
Pros:
-- The rope and steel components are both quite strong and durable. Dog has gone at them a few times (including thinking Tug of War is a fun walking game) with no obvious signs of damage
--The warranty is a huge plus for me and a key reason for buying a leash at this price point
-- The traffic handle is sturdy as the rest of the leash and a good height to not have to bend to hold it (on my granted very tall dog)
Cons:
--The rope clamping pieces are plastic, I will grant that they are hard plastic and are designed to be easy to replace, but I'd rather just not have to, and the dog is instantly interested in these components as the one at the top of the traffic handle is perfect mouth distance from his collar. I've seen minor marking on these already from his biting at them. I anticipate replacing these at least once before he's out of the puppy stage
--The rope is just thin enough that the hand feel isn't great. I normally double it over and hold the plastic piece and the handle together to get a good grip. A slightly thicker rope or other handle modification might make this slightly more comfortable to hold
Overall, very good product and I recommend it. In addition to the leash itself being good quality and nice looking, the warranty and the made in America are nice bonuses.
